Missing Midland Man Found Dead

MIDLAND - New details in connection with a missing Midland man.

NewsWest 9 has learned that he's been found dead.

The body of 55-year-old John Knittel was discovered in a truck in the parking lot of the Lakes Apartments, just off Loop 250.

Police say a detective was driving by and recognized the truck from the flyers that have been up all around town.

Knittel's family reported him missing last Thursday after they hadn't seen him in a week.

Police tell NewsWest 9, they suspect suicide and for now have ruled out foul play.
