Monahans Man Facing Deportation After Being Convicted on Indecency Charges

MONAHANS - It's back across the border for a man convicted of a child sex crime.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers (ICE) arrested 52-year-old Manuel Barraza-Garcia on Wednesday at his home in Monahans.

He came to the U.S. back in 1977 as a permanent resident.

But in February, he was convicted of indecency with a child.

He'll stay in ICE custody until his hearing before an immigration judge.
