Hobbs Police Investigating a Pair of Shootings

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Police in Hobbs, New Mexico are investigating a pair of shootings and could use your help as they continue their investigations.

On Saturday, Police arrested two men they believe shot Brian Alexander at a Hobbs club back in early October.

Now, 22-year-old Cameron Slade is charged with attempt to commit a violent felony to with murder, tampering with evidence, and conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

Meanwhile police in Oregon have arrested 22-year-old Dedrick Thomas and charged him with accessory to attempted murder and conspiracy to tamper with evidence.  

Police in Hobbs say the shooting happened October 11th at Forrest's Place.

They still need your help though.

They are not sure who shot Alton Granville the same night.

Granville died from his wounds.

Meanwhile, officers in Hobbs say they have arrested 51-year-old Gary Austin in connection to a shooting last night in the 1600 block of east Dunn Street.

Police found the victim in his car, slumped over the wheel, and with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was transported to a Lubbock hospital.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
