EUNICE, N.M. - The Police Chief in Eunice will have to look for a new job.
The City Council decided not to renew Kevin Burnam's contract.
NewsWest 9 did contact Eunice Mayor Matt White for a comment but he would not give a reason for the decision.
City officials tell NewsWest 9, first the position will be posted internally, so employees with the Eunice Police Department can apply.
Then if the city manager is not satisfied with the applicants, he will post the position externally.
