LOVINGTON, N.M. - A Lovington man is dead following a single car rollover on Thursday morning.
50-year-old Michael Pennington was ejected from his car and died from his injuries.
Officers say Pennington was driving on Highway 82 when his car overcorrected to the left.
The wheels skid on the passenger side, causing the car to rollover.
Officials believe Pennington was speeding and he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
This is the fifth deadly crash in Lea County as a direct result of not buckling up.
