
JAL - Crews have been able to extinguish a fire that was burning between Jal and Eunice, New Mexico off Highway 18.
Fire officials say the fire started Saturday afternoon about three miles north of Jal, west of Highway 18.
Crews from all nearby departments were on the scene assisting. Crews saved at least one structure that was threatened by the flames.
Fire fighters say they are taking care of hot spots and trying to determine how many acres burned.
