COAHOMA - Coahoma ISD has a new superintendent taking over.
The Big Spring Herald reports that Amy Jacobs has been hired to lead the district. Jacobs will replace Randy Brown who took a job at the school district in Snyder.
Jacobs is originally from Monahans and is currently Assistant Superintendent of Academic Programs in Marble Falls.
State law requires the district to wait for 21 days before formally offering her the job. A public reception is planned in December so the community can meet the new superintendent.
