BIG SPRING - The V.A. Hospital in Big Spring officially got a new name on Wednesday.
The Hospital will be named after George H. O'Brien, Junior.
He's the city's only Medal of Honor recipient.
O'Brien earned the award during his time in the Korean War.
Senator John Cornyn introduced the legislation to legally change the Hospital's name.
On Wednesday, the Senator spoke at the renaming ceremony and was joined by all of O'Brien's family.
NewsWest 9 Reporter Nick Lawton will have more on the story tonight on NewsWest 9 at 10 p.m.
