Trial Begins for Odessa Man Accused of Armed Robbery

ODESSA - An inmate who escaped from the Ector County Detention Center last year is back in the courtroom.

39-year-old Robert Dudley is on trial for his original charge of aggravated robbery from back in 2008.

Dudley is accused of stealing from someone with a handgun.

However, Dudley has already been serving time for another crime.

Dudley was sentenced in October of 2010 to 15 years in prison for another robbery in November of 2008.

Dudley has also attempted to escape from prison three times, succeeding twice.
