NEAR PECOS - A drilling company near Pecos has been slapped with safety violations.
Precision Drilling was given two serious and two repeat safety violations following a November inspection by OSHA.
Rig 553 is located just 18 miles northeast of Pecos.
An OSHA Representative says employees were exposed to high voltage electrical problems and had no access to portable fire extinguishers.
All of the penalties could cost the company over $69,000.
Precision Drilling has 15 business days to comply or to contest the allegations.
