PERMIAN BASIN - More snow has fallen in West Texas than in most snowy parts of the country.
That's according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that tracks weather patterns throughout the country.
So far this year, Midland has seen more than 19 inches of snow.
That's more than most northern states that often spend the winter covered knee deep in snow.
The frigid city of Minneapolis was hit with 17 inches.
Chicago only saw a little more than 15 inches.
The Big Apple and Boston were hit with a little more than 7 inches.
The snow oddity has everyone perplexed and amazed since we spent this past summer through a record breaking drought.
