A conservation plan for the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard has been approved.
The plan allows landowners to work with the government to protect the lizard's habitat while carrying on with ranching or oil and gas production.
Both sides seem to be happy with it.
The Texas Oil and Gas Association sees it as a good balance between wildlife and production.
Environmentalists say very little of the land will be impacted.
